Amy Blumberg,

Amy Blumberg has over twenty years of experience in the public policy arena and has developed an expertise in health care, workforce, education, business, labor and local government issues. As Director of Government Relations for CCHA, Amy directs the Association’s legislative and non-finance regulatory activities, and supports the Government Affairs Executives for the Association’s member hospitals. Prior to joining CCHA, Amy served as the Director Legislative Affairs for the California Association of Health Facilities (CAHF) and worked directly with legislators, staff, and the Administration to represent the interests of the long term care profession. In this role, she focused on budgetary and workforce issues and secured funding in the state budget to build and grow Certified Nursing Assistant training programs and unfreeze Medi-Cal rates for Intermediate Care Facilities for people with Developmental Disabilities and Pediatric Subacute Facilities. Prior to joining CAHF, Amy served for five years as the Director of Legislative Affairs for the California Charter Schools Association. Early in her career, Amy worked for 5 years in the State Capitol in both the Assembly and Senate. Amy holds a BA in History from UC Santa Barbara and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. In her free time, Amy is an active volunteer for organizations benefiting women and children. She is the past president of Capitol Network, former Chair of the East End Child Care Center Board of Directors, and past Board Member of the Active 20-30 Club of Greater Sacramento #1032.
